My wife and I bought the LG 32LD350 32 inch LCD HDTV as a gift to ourselves last Christmas after checking out as many HDTVs in the stores and reading as many online reviews as we could. Overall, I would have to say that we have been very happy with our purchase and I can fully understand why this HDTV has generated so many rave reviews online.
The picture quality for this HDTV is simply excellent, it is sharp, bright and clear. Okay, it is 720p, not 1080p, but to get the equivalent quality of 1080p HDTV to the LG 32LD350 would have meant a substantially bigger budget and, given that the TV is 32 inches, the difference would be barely noticeable. I connected up the cable TV and blu ray player with HDMI cables, of course, which seems like a big improvement on the old way of doing things.
By HDTV standards, the audio quality of the LG 32LD350 is excellent, however, and I much prefer the cinematic sound that you can only get through the use of external speakers and a subwoofer. I therefore have the TV sound running through a Sherwood RX-4105 100 Watt Stereo Receiver, a pair of Sony SS-B1000 5-1/4-Inch Bookshelf Speakers, and a Sony SA-W2500 Performance Line 100 Watt Subwoofer, which is quite frankly awesome.
One thing that actually reduces stress on a day to day level is that the remote and menus are actually easy to use with this HDTV. Believe me, I’ve had TVs and other electronic devices where I am still trying to figure out what the buttons on the remote do and work my way through the maze of menus and submenus five years after I bought the thing!
Another function that I like is the USB port. I use it to play music that I have stored on my portable hard drive through the LG TV. There is a headphone jack too and a VGA port, which I use to play my laptop through the TV.
Excellent picture quality
Plenty of settings to choose from so that you can get the TV exactly how you want it.
Remote and menus really are intuitive to use.
USB port means that you can play your music, or photos through the HDTV from a camera, portable hard drive etc.
Good value for money.
If I had the budget, I might be tempted to go a 1080p HDTV, such as the Samsung UN32EH5000, even though I know that with a 32 inch screen, the difference would be barely noticeable.
I hope that you enjoyed my LG 32LD350 32 inch LCD HDTV review. I have no regrets about buying this TV and as I said at the beginning, I find myself agreeing with most of the very positive reviews that I read before buying it. This LG TV was an exceptionally good value buy.
